The nose surgery can increase or decrease its size, giving a new form the nasal tip, nostrils modify and change the angle between the nose and upper lip. The ideal is to achieve the harmonic balance between the facial structures by preserving and improving respiratory function (Patients who have anatomic changes that hamper the nasal breathing). 

Results depend on the anatomy of bone and cartilage of each person and also the thickness of the skin covering the nose. 

Individuals with thinner skin of the nose will have faster results and more evident that people with thick skin, they will have to wait for more time and these results will almost always be more limited. 

Typically, this surgery takes place after 15 years of age where structures are already fully developed. 

SURGICAL PROCEDURE
The intervention is carried out with the options of local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. The surgical incisions can be: open rhinoplasty - small incision in the columella (median structure which connects the nasal tip region just above the upper lip) in the shape of the letter "V". POSTOPERATIVE

In the postoperative period is necessary to use a nasal tampon 12 to 72 hours and usually a bandage with plaster or soft plastic nasal dorsum by 7 days. 

Complications that can occur: bleeding, nasal obstruction, persistent deviations of the back (common in large deviations of nasal septum and bone support) infection, nasal irregularities.
